Cookie Policy

1. Strictly Necessary

We use first-party cookies and equivalent local storage for authentication (Supabase auth session), CSRF protection on Stripe Connect OAuth, sign-in flow state, theme and preferences, and per-recipient magic-link continuity. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

2. Analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics, proxied through /ingest/* to avoid ad-blocker disruption, and Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-SJWYNWXZC4) for site audience measurement. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights measure performance as first-party essential telemetry. Analytics events use a stable distinct identifier (the user’s account ID after sign-in, an anonymous session ID before).

Visitors from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland see a consent banner; PostHog and Google Analytics are not loaded for those visitors unless they accept. For visitors elsewhere, PostHog and Google Analytics load by default and can be disabled at any time via Cookie preferences in the site footer. We do not use these tools for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Error Monitoring

We use Sentry for error monitoring, tunneled through /monitoring to avoid ad-blocker disruption. Error reports may include limited request context and user identifiers for diagnostic purposes.

4. Embeds

Calculator iframe embeds use the per-token request counter on the host page; we do not set cross-site advertising cookies on third-party embed surfaces.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may prevent sign-in, saved scenarios, dashboard features, or board-book delivery from working.

You can change your analytics choice at any time using Cookie preferences in the site footer. Revoking consent immediately stops loading PostHog and Google Analytics on subsequent page views. Previously captured events are retained per our Privacy Policy unless you request deletion at privacy@caculator.io.
